Privacy Policy

Independent publisher. smartpulsehome.site is an independent educational publication. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by or endorsed by any hardware maker, seller or brand owner named on this website. Guides in writing, and that is the extent of it — nobody advising, nothing mended. Anything wrong with equipment of your own sits with whoever manufactured it, or with the retailer it came from.

SmartPulseHome.site is a website that publishes written guides. It has no contact form, no sign-in, no account and no shopping basket, and no page on it asks you for personal information. This Privacy Policy explains the little that is handled, and the choices open to you. Smart Pulse Home is operated by DIGITALDOTS TECHNOLOGIES of Ontario, Canada.

1. What We Collect

This website has no contact form, no sign-in and no account. There is nothing on any page that asks you for personal information. If you choose to write to us at the address on our contact page, we will hold what you put in that email:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Whatever you write in the message itself

We hold that information only in order to consider and, where appropriate, reply to the message you sent us. We do not operate a mailing list, we send no newsletters or marketing messages, and we do not contact readers who have not written to us first. No communication details will ever be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Important Notice: You will never be asked here for a password, payment card details, a device verification code or an account credential, and we have no facility to receive them. Please do not send them to us.

2. How We Use It

Where a reader writes to us, we may use what they send to:

  • Read and reply to the message
  • Correct or improve a guide the message points to
  • Decide what to write about next
  • Keep records of correspondence

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, in any circumstances.

3. Cookies

Some cookies are needed for the website to work and to remember the cookie choice you make.

Some pages also carry tools that set cookies of their own:

  • Where the guide finder appears, Tidio Ltd sets cookies in order to operate it
  • Our host, GoDaddy, sets cookies that record page views, clicks and timing on this website. This is part of their hosting service and runs whether or not you accept cookies, because it is added by the host rather than by us. Their privacy policy is at godaddy.com
  • If you reached this site by clicking one of our adverts, Google may set a cookie so it can tell that the click led to a visit

None of these is linked to a name, an email address or an account, because this website holds none of those. We do not use them to build a profile of anyone, and we do not sell or share what they collect.

You can accept or reject the optional cookies through the notice shown on this site, and change your mind at any time. You may also block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may then not work.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers for the following. Where any of them sets a cookie, it is covered by section 3 above and by the cookie notice on this site.

  • Website hosting — GoDaddy
  • Traffic and performance measurement — GoDaddy
  • The guide finder shown on some pages — Tidio Ltd

These providers may process limited technical data strictly as necessary to deliver their respective services.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect any correspondence we hold. However, no method of electronic transmission over the internet or digital storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute data security.

6. How Long We Keep It

Correspondence sent to us may be retained for a reasonable period to:

  • Reply, and refer back if you write again
  • Keep a record of corrections that were reported
  • Meet any legal obligation that applies

7. Your Rights

Depending on your geographic location and local data privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Withdraw consent where applicable

Requests may be submitted through our Contact Us page available on the website.

8. Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to external third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of external websites. Users should review the privacy policies of any third-party websites they visit.

9. Children’s Privacy

This website is not directed toward children under the age of 13, and at no point do we knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website following any updates constitutes formal acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Interactive Features and Information Tools

Some of our guide pages carry optional interactive features — things you tap to reveal an explanation, or to move to the section you want. Their purpose is to shorten the search, and whether you use them is up to you.

These features run in your browser and are automated throughout. Nobody watches what you tap, and none of them asks you for a name, an email address, a telephone number or any other personal detail.

Search tools on this website. An on-page search index sits above the footer on our guide pages. It runs entirely in your browser: it filters a list of our own articles that is already part of the page, sets no cookies, sends nothing anywhere and records nothing.

A second search index, supplied by Tidio Ltd, appears in the corner of some guide pages. Where it appears, Tidio may set cookies and process technical data including your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, in order to operate it; anything typed into it is processed by Tidio on our behalf. It is configured as an automated lookup across articles published here. Nobody sits behind it, no person receives or responds to what you type, and it is not configured to collect a name, email address, telephone number, credential or payment detail. Tidio’s own privacy policy is at tidio.com.

Neither search index can see your device, your home network or any account of yours.

12. Contact Information

SmartPulseHome

Written reference material about connected household equipment, published independently by DIGITALDOTS TECHNOLOGIES of Ontario, Canada.

Free to read. Nothing to download, and no account to open.

Independent, and unattached

Not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any equipment maker, voice platform or network vendor whose products are described here. Product names appear so a reader knows which equipment is meant, and for no other reason.

Written guides, and nothing besides

No telephone line has ever been issued here. Nobody advises readers individually, nothing is reached into from a distance, nothing is diagnosed or repaired, and no hardware is sold. The tools on these pages respond to taps and nothing more. On some guide pages a finder supplied by Tidio Ltd asks a short set of questions before linking to the relevant section. Neither is staffed by any person, and neither has access to readers’ devices or accounts. For a specific product, the maker's own documentation is the place to look.

Who pays for this

The site carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsored content, and nothing on it is for sale. It receives no payment, product or other consideration from any manufacturer whose equipment is described here. Writing, hosting and publication are paid for by DIGITALDOTS TECHNOLOGIES, which operates the site. No commercial relationship shapes what is written.

Nothing is requested of you

Nowhere on this website is there a sign-in, an account of any kind, or a screen that takes money. A password, card number, verification code, or other credential is never requested, and no technical-support request is accepted. Anything claiming otherwise did not come from us.

General, and sometimes overtaken

Terminology, indicator lights, screens and requirements differ between makers, models and regions, and applications change. Where anything here disagrees with the literature that arrived with your own equipment, that literature is right and this site is what wants correcting.
